Shoreline Sports has been a vibrant part of the community since 1997. We believe sports have the power to shape more than athletes—they shape people. Through basketball, futsal, and volleyball, we give kids and adults opportunities to compete, build friendships, stay active, and grow in their faith. Our goal is to develop athletes who understand that character, teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and integrity matter just as much as what happens on the court or field. We take sports seriously and strive for excellence, with coaches who bring experience from high school, college, and professional competition. Our Sports Director is a top soccer coach at a local club and grew up in Brazil, where soccer is part of the culture and everyday life. We want to give athletes great coaching and a great experience while pointing them toward something bigger than the game. We want to excel at what we do, compete with purpose, and live for Jesus in all we do.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Lucas Freitas
Sports Director, Shoreline Sports
Lucas Freitas is the Sports Director at Shoreline Sports, combining his love for sports with his passion for people and ministry. Originally from Campo Grande, Brazil, Lucas moved to the U.S. at 19 as a student-athlete. He earned his B.A. in Sports Management in 2024, his MBA in 2026, and a soccer coaching license through the Argentine Football Association (AFA). He also coaches the U13 team at Culture FC, leading the team from Flight 2 to the prestigious N1 league in just two years. Lucas speaks Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
Raised in a Christian home, Lucas has always had a strong faith in Jesus and a heart for ministry. He loves serving at Shoreline because it feels like family—a place where people genuinely care for one another and do life together. Outside of sports, Lucas enjoys traveling and spending time with his fiancée, Audrey, family, and friends. His favorite food is Brazilian barbecue, and he may surprise you by putting ketchup on his pasta and pizza! 😂
